Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Paradis, RN

Betty Ann Paradis is a warm, caring, bilingual nurse who has provided care to hemophilia patients in Sudbury for 36 years, 10 of those at their HIV clinic. She is passionate about what she does and has shared her knowledge with nurses across Canada and around the world, especially in Africa and the Middle East, through conference presentations and nurse training workshops. Betty Ann has received many awards for her work including a Queen’s Jubilee Medal Award, Nurse of Year Ontario (2000, Local 13), and a 1998 award from Canadian Hemophilia Society. In addition, she has served as chair and/or president for numerous associations, has been a hemophilia-camp nurse for 26 years, has co-authored numerous hemophilia nursing publications and is recognized and respected by nurses, physicians, patients around the world.
