Elsabeth Jensen has been actively involved with nursing organizations since 1973, holding many different positions locally, provincially and nationally. She has contributed many biographies of early nursing leaders for the CNA Memorial Book. In addition to being a strong researcher, Elsabeth has promoted the development of nursing research chairs. As a leader in mental health, she is the founding director of the York-CAMH Collaborative, which has as one of its tasks the development of another chair in mental health nursing research. She was also a founding member of the Clinical Nurse Specialist Association of Canada and its first Ontario board representative.
