Jessica Sherman, RN, B.Sc., M.Sc.(A)

Advocacy for people experiencing homelessness has been Jessica Sherman’s focus throughout her nursing career. Since creating the nursing program she now coordinates for a community-based organization, she has worked alongside clients experiencing homelessness to help them navigate health services that are often difficult to access. Using a client-centred approach, she provides accompaniment and education on health services while collaborating closely with health and social service professionals. Jessica works to advance the awareness and prevention of homelessness by mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, overseeing and co-authoring research projects, guest lecturing at McGill University, coordinating interprofessional meetings and participating in various community gatherings.
