Since graduating as a registered nurse 40 years ago, she has also championed quality patient care, public health care and patients’ rights. The longest-serving leader of the Ontario Nurses’ Association, she has liaised with municipal, provincial and federal governments to advocate for health care and nursing issues provincially, nationally and internationally. Linda strives to improve the quality of working life for nurses, fighting for safe work environments that value the services nurses provide to the health-care system.
