Shelley Marshall, BN, PhD(c)

Manitoba has many shining stars in the nursing community, but Shelley Marshall just shines a bit brighter than most!! Presently straddling between working with Manitoba Health on the provincial Opiate Strategy, as a clinical nurse specialist at Healthy Sexuality and Harm Reduction within the WRHA, and completing her PhD in nursing, Shelley puts her heart and soul into harm reduction, health equity, and speaking up for those whose voices are rarely heard. A Juno award winner in the Canadian music field, her willingness to work with people from all walks of life landed her in a band born out of the music recording module of the Sunshine House Solvent User’s Recreation Project (SURP). Shelley represents the creative spirit and intellectual fire power that is vital as nurses and as Canadians.
