SUNDAY, JUNE 17
(networking lunch included)
Using strategies from the field of conflict resolution and emotional intelligence, this CNA pre-convention workshop focuses on the importance of knowing oneself in order to better relate to others. You’ll learn how to become more aware of your triggers, gain strategies to help you react appropriately to the demands of your daily work and gain insight into the power you have to bring about change.
This interactive session is being led by Isabelle St-Pierre, an associate professor at the Université du Québec en Outaouais. She’ll give you the tools and strategies you need to maximize your success. You’ll work in groups with your peers to learn practical solutions to real-life work situations.
The learning objective is for participants to acquire skills in change leadership that are applicable in the workplace. This will be accomplished by reviewing and discussing approaches to change management and applying these concepts to case studies that involve:
- Influencing your work environment
- Managing role confusion and ambiguity
- Amplifying your voice during times of change
- Addressing ethical issues that may arise
