Jeanne Mance Award: This honour is the highest recognition of nursing achievement that CNA offers. Named after one of Canada’s most inspirational nurses, Jeanne Mance, it has been awarded at the CNA biennial convention since 1971.
CNA Order of Merit awards: These five awards honour excellence in clinical nursing practice, administration, education, research, and policy. The CNA board established these awards in 2007 and they are given out at each biennial convention.
150 Nurses for Canada: Nurses have been a foundational component of health-care delivery and improvements in Canada since Confederation. In 2017, as Canadians celebrated their nation’s 150th anniversary, CNA recognized 150 nurses for their work in pioneering health innovation in our nation and abroad.
CNA Centennial Award: CNA created this award in 2008, the year of the association’s centennial. This one-time award was given to 100 exceptional registered nurses whose personal and professional contributions made an outstanding and significant impact on the nursing profession.
