Chantal Cara

RN, BSN, MSN, PhD, FAAN

Chantal Cara is a full professor at the Université de Montréal in Quebec, Canada. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado under the directorship of Dr. Jean Watson. She is also a researcher at the Montreal’s Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation and at the Quebec Network on Nursing Intervention Research for humanistic practices.

Greta G. Cummings

RN, PhD, FCAHS, FAAN

Greta G. Cummings is the current Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta. Passionate about relational nursing leadership that empowers individuals, teams, and organizations to achieve shared goals, Dr. Cummings aims the faculty to be among the top academic and research-intensive nursing faculties internationally, with strength and expertise in aging and chronicity, health equity, health systems and global health.

Laurie N. Gottlieb

RN, BSN, MSN, PhD, FAAN

Laurie N. Gottlieb is a Professor in the Ingram School of Nursing at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She holds the Flora Madeline Shaw Chair of Nursing at McGill University, is the Nurse-Scholar-in-Residence at the CIUSSS-Centre Ouest (Jewish General Hospital) in Montreal, the Visiting Professor of Leadership at the Canadian Nurses Association, and is co-director of the International Institute of Strengths-Based Nursing and Health Care.

Jacqollyne Keath

RPN, PhD, CPMHN

Jacqollyne Keath graduated from BCIT Psychiatric nursing program in 1977 and went on to work in various direct care and supervisory roles in long term mental health, mental retardation facilities, geriatric services and adolescent mental health services. In 1988 she graduated from general nursing at Douglas College.

Dianne Martin

MA, BScN, RPN, RN

Dianne Martin has been a nurse since 1979. She graduated first as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and then in 1998, she graduated as an RN with a diploma in nursing and is today is dually registered as both an RN and RPN. She subsequently has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from York University and a Master of Leadership from Royal Roads University.

Ruth Martin-Misener

PhD, NP, RN, FAAN

Ruth Martin-Misener is a Professor and the Director of the School of Nursing and Assistant Dean, Research, at the Faculty of Health, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is also the Co-Director of the Canadian Association of Advanced Practice Nursing at McMaster University and an Affiliate Scientist with the Nova Scotia Health Authority as well as the Maritime Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research Support Unit.

Lynn M. Nagle

PhD, RN, FAAN

Lynn M. Nagle is nationally and internationally known for her work in health and nursing informatics. With a baccalaureate in nursing from the University of New Brunswick, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Rochester, New York, she brings expertise from many different clinical and academic settings across several provincial jurisdictions.

Sioban Nelson

PhD, RN, FANN, FCAHS

Sioban Nelson is a leading nursing scholar. She has published nine books, seven edited or coauthored collections and two monographs. She is currently a member of the Quality Council of Ontario, which overseas program quality in Ontario universities, and serves as a board member and executive member of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, and board member of the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.

Earl Nowgesic

RN, BScN, M.H.Sc., PhD

Dr. Earl Nowgesic has experience in First Nation and non-First Nation arenas, being employed as the Associate Director of Research and Data Management at the Chiefs of Ontario, the Director of the First Nations Centre at the National Aboriginal Health Organization, and the first Epidemiologist for the Assembly of First Nations.

Sally Thorne

RN, PhD, FAAN, FCAHS, D.Sc. (Hon)

Sally Thorne is a Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia, Canada where she has maintained a longstanding program of substantive research in the fields of chronic illness, cancer experience and end-of-life approaches as well as scholarship in philosophy of science, including the epistemological basis of disciplinary knowledge development in the health fields, and the nature of evidence claims in a complex health policy environment.

Colleen Varcoe

RN, PhD, FCAHS

Dr. Colleen Varcoe is a professor in the University of British Columbia School of Nursing. Building on her hospital-based diploma in nursing, she has a baccalaureate in nursing, Masters degrees in both nursing and education, and a PhD in nursing. She has taught for over 40 years in clinical settings (critical care and community settings) and educational institutions.
