Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): CNA and ARNM Membership

CNA and the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) are excited to bring you this exciting new membership initiative! We recognize that CNA and ARNM members may have questions and concerns. We appreciate your understanding during this transition year.

Starting July 31, 2026, all eligible members of the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) will receive complimentary CNA membership. Once activated, you will receive a welcome email from CNA with more information.

CNA memberships are non-refundable. However, your current CNA membership will be extended until July 31, 2027, or to align with your ARNM membership. After that, CNA membership will be included with your ARNM membership going forward.

If you are an existing CNA member who is also a member of ARNM, your current CNA membership will be extended until July 31, 2027, or to align with your ARNM membership.

CNA certification is not affected. As a CNA member, you continue to receive discounted pricing for your initial certification exam or renewal.

Yes, Manitoba nurses can still join CNA directly. Review our membership options and rates.

CNA membership is included as a component of ARNM membership and is not optional. We encourage you to explore the manyprofessional and personal benefits of being part of CNA.

Yes, retired nurses are included for complimentary CNA membership. You will receive a welcome email once your CNA membership is activated.

Yes, student members are eligible to receive CNA membership through ARNM. Once your CNA membership is activated, you will receive a welcome email with additional information.

ARNM members are now also CNA General members. As an ARNM member and existing CNA member, your membership remains active. As you are currently a Premium member, we have left your account untouched for the time being. When you are due to renew your Premium membership, we will set you to a General member, and your membership term will be extended to align with the ARNM membership term.

In the future, when you renew your ARNM membership, your CNA General membership will also be renewed. If you wish to upgrade your membership type to Premium, you will need to sign in to your CNA account and choose Upgrade to Premium. Should your needs change, there will still be the option to renew directly with CNA. We’re committed to ensuring continuity and flexibility for our valued members.
